2024 PRIDE PARADE NYC // You don't love someone for their looks, or their clothes or their fancy car, but because they sing a song only you can hear. // ~ Oscar Wilde
On 30 June 2024, I went on a photo assignment early on Sunday morning. Got a ride from south Brooklyn into the Flatiron district. I got off at East 27th Street at Madison Avenue, walked through Madison Park to 23rd Street, checked my gears, and commenced shooting. At around 3:35 pm, I found myself on my old block in Greenwich Village with revelers of the 2024 NYC Pride Parade, the mother lode and Grande Finale of all pride month activities. As I waved goodbye to the Pride NYC truck and descended the sticky steps next to the drug store leading into the West 4th Street subway, my camera batteries began to stop working. I smiled ~ how simple life would be if everything is driven by lithium ~~~ 😃
To my dear friends near and far ~ As I was documenting today, I was also capturing, for you, the faces of NYC ❤ wishes and dreams; desire and ambition; curiosity and trials; disappointments and hostilities; comatose,; woke; hangry; arrivals and departures. Here, in the Album ~ Be Water!
